amfori BSCI
A social-compliance audit framework (11 principles: no child or forced labour, fair pay, safety, freedom of association). Most EU retailers require it to onboard a supplier. It produces a findings report and rating — not a pass/fail certificate.
Sedex / SMETA
SMETA is the audit method; Sedex is the platform that stores the result. Two-pillar covers labour and health & safety; four-pillar adds environment and business ethics. Preferred by UK and US buyers.
WRAP
A certification (Gold / Platinum / Silver) confirming lawful, humane, and ethical production. Common for US-facing apparel programs.
OEKO-TEX Standard 100
A product-safety certification: the fabric is tested for harmful substances. It certifies the textile, not the factory — which is why we can offer it today through certified mill fabric.
ISO 9001 / 14001
Management-system standards for quality (9001) and environmental management (14001).
SA8000
The most rigorous stand-alone social-accountability certification.
For EU and UK private-label buyers, amfori BSCI and Sedex/SMETA are the two that typically gate supplier onboarding — so they sit at the top of our roadmap. OEKO-TEX we can offer today through certified fabric. Ethical certification is now a baseline expectation, not a differentiator — which is exactly why our early honesty is the differentiator while ours are earned.
